Mario Lopez Addresses Muscle-Fueled Feud With Priscilla's Nick Adams

A Chorus Line veteran and Extra co-host Mario Lopez has finally addressed the rumored tiff with Nick Adams, his former Broadway co-star and now lead player in Priscilla Queen of the Desert. When Lopez joined the cast of the revival of A Chorus Line in 2008, the muscular Adams was reportedly told to add a baggy sweatshirt to his revealing costume to avoid overshadowing Lopez's own physique.

"I was like, is this a joke?" Adams said, recalling the incident to The Daily Beast. "The whole cast looked at me like, what the hell is going on?" When chatter of the costume change traveled beyond the Schoenfeld Theatre, gossip hounds couldn't get enough of the story. "I went from being known within the theater community to a level we don't ever experience when we start off on Broadway."

So, what does Lopez have to say about the incident? "It was so not true," he told The Daily Beast, insisting he did not make the wardrobe demand himself. "I thought it was funny. [Nick and I] both got a kick out of it. As you can see, we get along great; we even work out together. That was my first foray into [Broadway], and I would never go around saying anything and demanding anything."

Looks like things turned out just fine for Adams and Lopez. "It did nothing but help me in the end," said Adams, who even introduced Lopez to Courtney Mazza, the actress who became his girlfriend and mother of their daughter, Gia Francesca.
